RoboClub (half term) Kiama Library (Friday)

100.00

** NEW central Kiama location, open to all - Creative Kids vouchers accepted **

This new RoboClub, offered in partnership with the Kiama Library, is open to kids in Yrs 2 to 6, and will launch offering half term participation - giving new students the perfect opportunity to try out Robotics and Coding, without the upfront commitment of a full Term of activities. Sessions will be run by fully qualified RoboLink Gurus, supported by a team of Junior Guru mentors (high school students with expertise in Robotics) and Kiama Library staff.

When: 4 pm to 5 pm on Fridays, over half a term - either Weeks 1 to 5 or Weeks 6 to 10 (please only register in one group). Registration currently available in Term 2 and 3 groups.

Where: Kiama Library (downstairs in the Community Learning rooms)

Activities in RoboClub will see kids learning to code a wide range of robots that we are constantly expanding - including: EV3 Mindstorms, WeDo LEGO Robotics, Sphero, Dash & Dot, Ozobot, LEGO Boost, Mangobot, Raspberry Pi, Finch, Ino-Bot, Drones and much more! Virtual Reality experiences and 3D Design & Printing tasks linked to some of the students’ Coding and Robotics work may also form part of the RoboClubs. Students will learn coding and programming skills while working with robots; with differentiated lessons given within the group - based on each child's needs and abilities. Students will be able to work at their own pace and pursue knowledge and skills sequentially as they are ready to progress.

All equipment required will be provided by RoboLink for use during club sessions, including laptops & iPads, for individual and/or partner work - depending on the activity.

After finalising payment and completion of the online booking form, you will receive an automated email to confirm your child's registration. Before your child’s RoboClub commences, you will receive required permission forms to complete for your child’s participation, and further information regarding the Kiama Library venue and arrival and pick-up procedures.

As always, thank you for your support - your child’s registration fees help us to provide STEM education and social opportunities to disadvantaged children in the Illawarra, remote outback towns, and in developing countries overseas. We can't wait to inspire your child with the amazing things that they can dream and achieve! :)

** Important Info for Creative Kids Voucher payments **

As an approved provider under the Creative Kids rebate scheme, we are able to accept Creative Kids vouchers.
